It was an overcast morning, a morning that felt like summer was finally over, but the smiles and excitement said otherwise. Thousands of people with a variety of running standards showed up to this year’s Beirut Marathon. BSL BANK employees and their families came out in full force to this grandiose event. Alongside their longstanding partner DSC, our employees and their families gathered under our BSL BANK arch, eager to start this joyous event. To help the motivation levels stay high, DSC also had a cheering station urging the runners to keep going and push against the runner’s wall.

The days leading up to the event were as fruitful as the day itself. BSL BANK with DSC, set up a stand in the Marathon Village, which was held in Train Station Mar Mikhael from the 7^th of November to the 10^th. This is where our employees and their families picked up their numbers for the run, but that’s not at all. A blood drive was set up in the parking lot, encouraging people to donate. With two fun activities to choose from, people could choose to participate in The Spin the Wheel game or Burst the Bubble. The Spin the Wheel game consisted of questions about BSL BANK, DSC and donating blood, to educate the population about the rules around it. The Burst the Bubble game had a bunch of balloons with messages inside of them containing facts and benefits of donating blood, awakening their inner child while learning at the same time! 

DSC’s slogan is “Keep the Blood Running” and we couldn’t have done it without the spirit and enthusiasm of our family in BSL BANK to have such a successful event. We implore each and every one of you to join us next year and experience this bonding activity.
